Reed West

IMG_0686Reed West has been a modeler for decades. Around two years ago, Reed showed up to a SCAHMS meeting—February 2012 to be exact—with a 1/72 scale Ford T Ambulance.

Reed has brought in a few other vehicles over the past couple of years. Among those models were some Jordan Miniatures.

On request, Reed brought in his entire collection of Jordan Miniatures.  It is an impressive collection. Technically, they are not 1/72 scale. They are just a bit smaller. These vehicles are used by people into Railroads.

Below, are some photos of the Model T Ambulance he first introduced to us a couple of years ago.

At the December 2013 meeting, I took photos of Reed’s work on Jordan Miniatures. He granted me permission to display his work on this site. (I purchased 3 Fire Trucks from the Jordan line last week, so I will begin by showing you his work on Jordan Fire Engines.) The first six photos are of the same Engine, a 1923 Mack Aerial Ladder Truck.

The next one is of a 1913 Model “T” Ford:

Following are an assorted number of vehicles:

Jordan Miniatures puts out a number of horse drawn carriages. Reed built 8 of them over the years and has them mounted together on a plinth.
