Carson VanOsten

Carson VanOsten is a frequent demonstrator at SCAHMS Meetings. At the January 2015 meeting, he ran us through a tutorial on how to paint “white.” The fundamental rule is: “you paint ‘white’ by not painting ‘white.'” We video taped the session and I will provide a link to those videos later.

Carson brought in a piece he painted years ago. Like everything else he touches, this one is a beautiful piece. (Carson worked for Disney Studios for over 30 years.) Take a look:
